About Eat Caribbean

If your heart longs for swaying coconut trees, warm, fine sand under your feet and glass-clear turquoise waters, or if you’re a foodie loving new ingredients, fresh herbs and aromatic spices then Eat Caribbean is where you should be.

For one week, June 19th to 25th, the Caribbean restaurants in New York invite you to try the range of food from the Caribbean, and taste the African, Indian, European, Chinese and Arab influences which make these dishes some of the most flavorful in the world.

As different as the European countries, the cuisine in the Caribbean is a delicious expression of its history, the multitudes of colonists and settlers who made the region the culinary adventure it is today. Try the grilled, stewed, baked, jerked and curried, finger-foods, entrees, desserts and beverages, you might taste the salt of the ocean, and feel the breath of the cool Tradewinds in your hair.

WIADCA, one of the largest organizations promoting and sharing Caribbean Heritage in New York hosts this event annually during June which is Caribbean Heritage month in New York. Caribbean people love cooking for and sharing their dining table with friends, so we know you’ll have a memorable experience!
