Located along the number seven train in Western Queens , The LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) presents vital high-quality programming intended to give a booming voice to the most diverse community in the world. Already a destination for internationally acclaimed music, dance, and theater acts; LPAC is quick developing into a scene for hot area talent.
With multiple performance spaces and technical features that rival those of many theaters in Manhattan , The LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in Long Island City has found its niche within the city’s rich array of cultural resources.
LPAC also serves the community by offering its facilities for rental to the public. The Mainstage Theatre was designed as a proscenium theater with a level of finish appropriate for formal, public presentations of the performing arts. The Little Theatre features a raised, thrust stage surrounded on three sides by 220 seats. Both theatres are served by a lobby, and box office facilities.

LPAC is a cultural “bridge” and integral part of LaGuardia Community College, located in the most culturally diverse urban area in the world, Queens, NY. LPAC has a long and respected history of engaging, presenting, and producing new artistic work by diverse, international artists. The organization has evolved into a destination for high quality theatre, dance, and performing arts from emerging artists who are transforming the international arts community. For example, in 2012, LPAC presented the New York theatre premiere of “For Rent”, by acclaimed Turkish playwright Ozen Yula, a work that was banned in Turkey and which was translated into English for its LPAC run. LPAC recently completed its pilot Rough Draft Festival, a showcase of compelling new artistic work-in-process by LPAC and other companies. The Rough Draft Festival’s ongoing activities are being informed by a cultural exchange with Turkish Theatre Company VDST’s New Text New Theatre Project.
